1. Open a Microsoft Word Document. Under the menu File, open the Page Setup pop-up box.
Click Custom Paper Size in the Setting pull down menu, Check the box to use custom page size and enter the Width and Height of your invitation.

2. On the Format menu, click Document, click the Margins tab, and then set the margins.

3. Inside the Document pop-up box, click Page Setup to select the orientation either Portrait or Landscape.

5. If you do not have extra invitations, we suggest making copies of your invitation. Cut the copy paper to the exact size of the invitation and use this as a test sheet. You may need to print several test sheets and make adjustments to your text box before you have the perfect set-up.
 
6. Now that your invitations are ready to print, you will need to tell your printer the correct printer setup. Every printer is different and will require different setups. Some printers may require you to print from the manual paper tray. If so, you will need to tell your printer in the print manager window to print to the manual paper tray. Some printers may also require you to give specific sizes of the document you are printing. Other printers may have a single paper pass and may not require any additional information.

  If you are using Microsoft Word 2007:

1. Open a Microsoft Word 2007 document. Under the Page Layout menu, click on the Size button. Click on More Paper Sizes. Enter the Width and Height of your invitation. Vertical invitations - Width: 5.875” and Height: 9.25”. Horizontal invitations - Width: 9.25” and Height: 5.875”. In the same window, click on the Margins tab. Set all margins to 0”. Click on the Layout tab. Set Header and Footer to 0”. Click Ok. A warning window will appear; click Ignore. 

2. Under the Insert menu, click on the Text Box button. Click on Simple Text Box. Under the Format menu, enter the Height and Width of your text box. Vertical invitations - Width: 4.25” and Height: 6.25”. Horizontal invitations - Width: 6.25” and Height: 4.25”. Still under the Format menu, click on Shape Outline. Click on No Outline.

3. Type your desired wording for the invitation. After you enter the text, under the Format menu, select the Font option. Using different fonts and text sizes, you can create the perfect look for your event. Once you are completely finished formatting your text, click anywhere on the text box border. Cut your text box by hitting Control and X on your keyboard. Under the Home menu, click on the Paste button and select Paste Special. A list will appear. Click on Picture (Windows Metafile) and click Ok. Click anywhere on your text and under the Format menu, click on Rotate. Click on More Rotation Options. Enter -347° in the rotation box. Click on Close.

4. Locate the approximate position of your text box and click and drag your text box in place. For instance, if you are printing a vertical invitation, the side corners of the text box should be at an equal distance from the left and right sides of the document, while the top, right corner nearly touches the top of the document.

6. Now your invitation is ready to print! Some printers may require you to print from the Manual Paper Tray. If so, you will need to tell your printer in the Print Manager window to print to the Manual Paper Tray. Some printers may also require you to give specific sizes of the document you are printing. Other printers may have a single paper pass and may not require any additional information.
